This morning started off like most mornings do at our home…lots of
shouting. Shouting, because as usual our teenaged son seems to
operate in only one speed most mornings, and that is slow. Once
the morning chaos died down we are out the door and heading for
our cars (yes it is a two car day) since Marc has three games AND a
baseball camp today and I have way too much left to do for the
New Years Party we are hosting. So my plan for the day is to attend
the first basketball game, run my errands, head home feed the dog,
get in quick 30 minute power nap, then meet up with the boys for
the last game of the day. Whew…I’m tired just thinking about my
schedule. It was a really good game today. The boys played well
and aggressive, and Marc was extremely aggressive and on top of
his game, he did a really good job in helping his team win. After the
game Marc and Marc race off to St. Rita’s baseball camp. From
there they will head off to the second basketball game of the day
and I will meet them at the third and final basketball game. As they
derive off to baseball camp I jump into my car and run my errands
for the day. After three stores, eyebrow threading, walking and
feeding the dog and a quick nap, I head back and watch the last
game of the day.

What an exciting last game of the day. The team is playing really
well, although they look a little tired; but after three games who
wouldn’t be tired. Towards the end of the fourth period the game is
still close…within two points. Marc is playing quite aggressively and
while chasing down the ball he seemed to have hyperextended his
leg and immediately got severe cramps in his calves that not only
knocked him to the floor but kept him out of play for the last five to
six minutes of the game. Neither team can pull away and we head
into overtime. Marc is feeling well enough to play in overtime. They
barely beat the buzzer and win by one point, what an exciting
game. After the game, Marc and the boys head over to Sean H’s
house for a couple hours, from there they end up at Bubba’s house.
While he is having a good time with his teammates I head home and
continue getting the house ready for the NY Eve bash. I pick him up
about 9:00 PM, seems he had a very good day.
